Restylane® Lyft

What is Lyft?

Restylane Lyft is an injectable treatment to non-surgically augment the midface and lift the cheek area. It uses hyaluronic acid to create volume that is commonly lost through aging, effectively restoring contours and adding fullness to the cheeks. Hyaluronic acid is found in the skin and has important functions like moisture retention and maintaining suppleness, meaning it can be naturally absorbed into the body. Lyft is also indicated for severe nasolabial folds, commonly called ‘laugh lines’.

How are Lyft Injections Performed?

Because Lyft requires a deep injection under the skin, a topical anesthetic can be applied at the beginning of the treatment session. Once the patient is comfortable, the product is placed with a very small needle in a predetermined pattern. This can require multiple injections to ensure the product is evenly distributed and creates a natural-looking contour. Lyft contains an additional numbing agent called lidocaine to ensures there’s little discomfort during product placement and afterwards. Depending on the patient’s intended results and goals for this procedure, it can take around fifteen minutes.

Recovery

There is no downtime required with injectable treatments, meaning you can return to your regular activities immediately. You may experience some redness or swelling at the injection site, but this usually subsides within the day. Lyft can last for around twelve months, during which you can opt for skin treatments to augment your results.
